I don't often talk about the books I'm reading on my blog, but I've recently read two books that are about to make their North American debuts, and I would love to see both of them reach lots of readers, because they are both fabulous. I thought: it would not hurt to do my part.

The book and what I learned from it: WHEN SHE WAS GOOD
(I've recently discovered that I can't seem to read a book without thinking writerly thoughts about it. This is annoying; it would be much more fun to just dive in and get lost, but I rarely, rarely do. But I thought perhaps I could combine book reviews with writerly thoughts in a new series of posts, of which this is the first.)
